Once you have obtained a left-right stereo pair, in order to view the related three-dimensional image you can use one of the known methods (see    Viewing techniques ) that, even if different in the technique adopted, aim to the same goal: having each eye looking at exclusively its own image (the left eye at the left image and the right eye to the right image).

Anaglyphs are considered the the most spread and easy way to view stereoscopic printed images. Once you have produced the stereo pair, you just need to operate some simple digital transformations and then look at the result with glasses (   like those we produce ) having some specific filters as lenses.

Anaglyphs can be obtained in several ways. In the red-cyan anaglyphs, for instance, the stereo pair images go through a transformation in order to derive two images of complementary colours. The left image is depleted of the green and blue components thus becoming red; the blue component is taken away from the right image which becomes cyan (a colour between green and blue).

Simpler to do than to say. With the current graphical tools you can transform the original pair and quickly obtain the new pair of images from the original one.

Now, always with your favourite grapichal tools, overlap the two images taking care to have only horizontal disalignments. At last, you obtain the anaglyph you can view thorugh your anaglyph glasses.
